Comprehensive Exam

As the term suggests, a comprehensive dental exam is a thorough exam of everything associated with the oral cavity, head, and neck. This includes more than your teeth. At Meridian Dental Clinic we evaluate your gums, teeth, bone levels, tongue, TMJ, and more. 

In order to provide the most exceptional care, we may utilize diagnostic tools such as x-rays and intraoral images. These will help us assess your overall oral health, because your oral health is related to your whole body health, and a healthier you, makes for a happier you!

Dental Emergencies

The unexpected emergency does occasionally happen, and when it does, we are here to help. Our goal is to help make you comfortable and get you back to your everyday activities. 

If you experience a dental emergency, reach out to our practice as soon as possible and our compassionate team will help you. We reserve time in our daily schedules to address these crises.  For immediate after-hours assistance, we have an on-call team member to support you, and help you get the treatment and relief you need right away. Oral Cancer Screening

According to the American Cancer Society there are 54,000 new cases of new cases of oral and oropharyngeal cancer every year. Early detection is the key to managing and surviving all types of cancer, and oral cancer is no different. 

At Meridian Dental Clinic we utilize the VELscope® Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment System to enhance our ability to detect abnormalities. 

The VELscope® Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment System utilizes a painless light source that allows our doctors and hygienists to detect areas of suspicion including those undetected by the naked eye. Our doctors will also palpate the neck, tongue, and soft tissues, to feel for lumps or abnormalities.  



Call our office if you notice lesions, red patches, lumps, or changes in color, between visits. Your health is our priority. 

Digital Imaging

Our practice is committed to providing the safest and most convenient treatment options available. Part of that commitment includes utilizing advanced digital x-ray technology.



Digital x-rays provide advanced imaging with a proven 90% reduction in radiation exposure over traditional x-rays. The result is higher quality images than standard x-rays, and the images can be enlarged for more thorough examination. There is no waste produced with digital x-rays. This makes them environmentally friendly, and immediately transferable. This all adds up to a greater experience for you, our patients. 

Cleaning & Prevention

Preventative dentistry is all about being proactive. Hygienists are critical partners in helping you maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. The hygiene department at Meridian Dental Clinic is devoted to your care. 



Preventative care is important at every stage of your life, regardless of your age. 

Our hygienists will check for dental problems, screen for cavities, gingivitis, gum disease, oral cancer, and clean your teeth. They will also work with you to customize a home care routine that will help you keep your smile bright and healthy between visits, and for years to come. 

Bleeding Gums & Gum Disease

Do your gums ever bleed while brushing your teeth? Are they tender? Are you experiencing frequent bad breath? You may have gingivitis or gum disease. When we are not brushing and flossing regularly and correctly, bacteria may cause an infection in your gums. Gingivitis is a reversible condition, but if left untreated, it can progress into a treatable, but irreversible condition. known as periodontal disease (gum disease). 



At Meridian Dental Clinic, our team of skilled hygienists will use several diagnostic tools to help determine the health of your gums. If either of these conditions are suspected, we will customize a diagnostic plan to help treat, manage, control and even eliminate gingivitis and gum disease. Children's Dental Care

Dental health is important at every age but establishing a good foundation for healthy teeth and gums begins in childhood. Children experience tremendous growth and change and teeth are a large part of proper development. 

As your child’s teeth erupt, it is important to thoroughly care for them. Brushing can be fun and should begin even before the teeth have erupted. Dental visits should begin as soon as teeth erupt because children are at a higher risk of developing cavities. 

Our team of hygienists will teach both you and your child, how to properly care for these important baby teeth. They will recommend fluoride and, most likely dental sealants, to help ensure your child’s teeth will remain healthy and strong, and to to set them up for a lifetime of excellent oral health. 

Sportsguards & Mouthguards

At Meridian Dental, your oral health is our priority. Part of protecting your smile may include recommending a mouthguard while playing sports. Injuries to the mouth are common and can be avoided. We will create a customized appliance that fits well to provide ultimate protection for your pearly whites. This is especially important for those who have braces or retainers. 

TMJ-TMD

Temporomandibular Disorder is a condition some experience. It may include symptoms such as chronic face and neck pain, and recurring headaches. Our doctors can properly diagnose and treat TMD with an effective treatment created uniquely for you.
